Creamy Breakfast Risotto is different, but in a great way.

I made it as per recipe, and it was great !!!

I'd probably use less butter next time.

  • Really yummy but too sweet

Submitted by Margarita Helen on 20. May 2015 - 10:13.

Really yummy but too sweet for me breaky time. More of a rice pudding dessert. I'll try adding fresh fruit, like a few others did, to it next time. Thanks for sharing.

This recipe is awesome. I halved the ingredients, when adding the fruit I ended up putting more than half. I cooked for 32 mins. Thanks for such a yum and easy recipe Big Smile

    Submitted by tessabella on 14. May 2012 - 12:11.

Yummy !! will definitely be making this again.  I reduced to 1/4 of quantities for a single, it made two small serves, and cooked for about 30 mins.

    Submitted by Lynn k on 11. January 2012 - 13:34.

Not too bad... Better than I thought it would be... Might put a bit of Lemmon peel in with it next time to ad some zing to the sweetness...

    Submitted by ginamac on 3. May 2011 - 13:34.

This is great, I love it.

I make it up the day before without the sugar or butter and with my almond/rice milk and then reheat in the morning with a little milk and honey. I then add my LSA Plus (under basics).

    It's terrific.

  • I really enjoyed this. I

    Submitted by sue_h8 on 15. March 2011 - 23:44.

I really enjoyed this. I might cut back on the rapadura next time as it was a little sweet. I wish I had of read the comments on the fruit. I was so sleepy this morning it didn't even occur to me. I'll be adding it next time. I wish the kids would have enjoyed it as much as I did. They said they'll stick to porridge.

    Submitted by Maureen on 12. March 2011 - 01:11.

This is soooo good. I put sliced banana on top, which was nice, but you could put any fruit you like on it really, even berries would be good. Thanks for this recipe.
Edit - I leave out the sugar and sweeten at the end with honey or maple syrup. I have also stirred in frozen blueberries at the end with sliced banana as another sweetening option. I also use coconut oil instead of butter for the 'fat.' And almond milk instead of cows milk too. It's a very versatile recipe. My kids always ask for It!

Yum, this looks great!  We love rice for breakfast, so this would be perfect.  (Except I'll use rice-almond milk.)  Thanks  tmrc_emoticons.)
