Easy Homemade French Bread

  • 860 grams warm water
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 tablespoon dried instant yeast
  • 3/4 tablespoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons oil, Canola or Olive
  • 781-852 gram flour

Recipe's preparation

  1. Add Water, sugar and yeast to tm bowl, process 2mins 37* Sp 2
  2. Let sit until bubbles appear about 3-5mins
  3. Add salt, oil and 520gms flour, and mix on dough setting, gradually add the rest of the flour the dough should clear the sides of the bowl and form a soft ball.
  4. dough setting 2-3mins until dough is smooth.
  5. Leave dough in the bowl to rise to the top of the bowl.
  6. Turn the dough out of the bowl and divide into 3 equal portions, shape dough into french sticks, place in cooking tray and stash several gashes in the tops of the loaves .
  7. Cover dough with greased plastic wrap and let loaves rise to about double in size.
  8. Preheat oven to 180* making sure the rack is in the middle of the oven.
    Bake 25-30mins

    Once out of the oven brush each loaf with butter

Can add about 4 ice cubes to the base of your oven this gives a delicious french bread crispness to the crust
