      Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Recipe's preparation

  1. Add cream and milk to bowl first - then flour and salt
  2. Blend 4 seconds - speed 6
  3. Knead 2 minutes using dough mode
  4. Pour out onto lightly flowered surface
    Shape loosely into ball and flatted to 1 inch thick (2.5cm)
  5. Cut rounds using scone cutter
    (I use a small rimmed straight sided glass dipped in flour prior to each cut)
  6. Place on lightly floured or lined tray
  7. Bake 10-12 minutes - until golden brown
  8. I like to cool inside a tea towel
  9. Serve to your liking (jam & cream, butter, cheese & tomato)

We love with whipped cream and berry jam.

Could add savoury ingredients to dough - cheese, bacon, chives
