Turkish Pide Bread

Turkish Pide Bread

  • 350 g Milk
  • 2 tsp dried instant yeast
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 500 g Baker's Flour
  • 35 g olive oil
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 2 tbsp Black Sesame Seeds

Recipe's preparation

  1. Grease large bowl

    Mix together milk, yeast and sugar 2 min./37°C/Speed 2

    Add flour, 20g olive oil and salt 2 mins./Dough mode

    Move dough into greased bowl and leave to rest for an hour.

    Grease large cookie sheet, divide the dough into two equal parts and form them into a disc shape approximately 20 cm.

    Use your fingertips to create small indentations. Mix the yolk and the remaining 15 g of olive oil and spread it over the pide's. Sprinkle each Pide with one tbsp of (black) sesame seeds.


    Preheat oven to 220°C and bake for 15-20 minutes. [/b]

You can double the recipe but then also double the kneading time.

You can use white and/or black sesame seeds.
