      Recipe is created for
      TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Tip

If you add the 'latte di mandorla' (almond syrup), I would reduce the sugar to 150g and you can use your milk of preference and reduce to 80g.

You can blanch almonds to remove dark skin before milling for a white, crisper look.

This is a traditional Sicilian dish which is quite commonly eaten for breakfast with a Brioche (look up 'Sicilian Brioche').

Granita come in a whole range of flavours and a couple of the more popular ones are lemon and chocolate... oh la la!
