  • 1 litres Full cream UHT milk, (Room temperature)
  • 200 g Good quality pot set yogurt, (Greek, natural, or vanilla)
  • 100 g full cream milk powder
  • 40-60 g sugar
  • 1 level tsp Vanilla Bean Paste, (Optional)
  • 100 g cream, (Optional)

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

    Method
  1. Select the automated recipe - ‘plain yogurt’.
  2. Follow the Automated recipe prompts using the above amounts for each ingredient.
  3. Refrigerate yogurt once the 8hr incubation time finishes.

Tip

NOTE: Once ready, reserve 200g of yogurt for your next batch.

Add fresh fruit of your choice to this yogurt when serving.

    I have been making this yoghurt for at least 12 months.

    It is by far the best yoghurt out.

    It is so creamy, thick and delicious.

    I use 60g of sugar which just makes it perfect and sweet enough.

    I make this every 2 weeks as I have it for breakfast with sunflower seeds and sultanas

    It is also great for recipes that use natural yoghurt.

    I highly recommend this recipe.
