      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

    Ginger Brulee
  1. Add ginger pieces into mixing bowl, 5 sec/speed 10, scrape down, then repeat.

     

    Using Nut Bag to squeeze out giner juice as much as possible.

     

    Mixing bowl cleaned, add milk, 5  min/60 degree/speed 1.

     

    Then 3 min/85 degree/speed 1, in the same time, scale on, adding white sugar.

     

    While warming milk, evenly add well-stirred ginger juice in 6 small bows.

     

    Pour hot milk into bowl with well-stirred ginger juice, and leave it  for 2 min.

     

    Serve warm or cold !

Tip

Substitude Half & Half milk to 50% Blue Top milk & 50% fresh cream.

150g ginger to make about 75g ginger juice

    this is sooooo easy and sooooo delicious. Just make sure the ginger juice is very well stirred before adding the half and half.

    Don't we need the caramel? I believe brulee is not purly white.
