      Recipe is created for
      TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

    Method
  1. Add all ingredients to your Thermomix.

With MC on 30 seconds/speed 2 to mix together.

    Remove MC - cook for 90 minutes/varoma/speed 2.

When removing lid, ensure moisture that's sitting on the inside of the lid doesn't drip into the mix.

Pour into a lined slice tray, let cool and then mark toffee size out with a knife.

Cut into pieces once nearly set with a sharp long knife.  Easiest way is to remove the entire toffee using the baking paper and place on a chopping board to cut up.

Store in a airtight container, will last for ages (but no doubt all be eaten before this time)

Tip

This recipe was my nan's most favourite toffee.  She use to cook it on a woodfired stove top.  I'd converted it to the electric stove a few years ago, but now I have my Thermie I wanted to perfect it in that.  Very delicious.

Your grandmothers recipe is amazing. This was absolutely perfect and so ridiculously easy. I did it in TM31 and that was fine.

This was delicious and easy enough to make. I found it didn’t set as hard as I thought it would and therefore I had to store flat and cut off as we ate it. Might try putting it in mini cupcake pans next time. Thanks for sharing this recipe.

  • I wouldn't think that it

I wouldn't think that it would work for Toffee Apples, you would need something that would set harder and perhaps more transparent too.

  • Would this toffee work to

Would this toffee work to make toffee apples or would the consistency be too runny?

Divine! The recipe is easy to follow and using ingredient already in the pantry and fridge. Last night I made a batch in mini cup cake cases with milk chocolate - the best! Thank you so much for sharing. Cooking 7
