    TM 5
Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Recipe's preparation

    Milo Mousse
  1. 1. Add chocolate chips to bowl and blitz - 5 seconds/Speed 7. Set aside.

    2. Place butterfly into bowl. Add thickened cream, Milo, cocoa and sugar. Beat - 20 seconds/Speed 4.

    3. Add the blitzed chocolate chips and beat - 10 seconds/Speed 4. If it has not thickened, keep beating 5 seconds at a time, until the cream has thickened, and has the 'frangipani' look at the top. Be careful not to overbeat or you'll get Milo flavoured butter!

    4. Place in fridge to chill for a few hours. Serve sprinkled with extra Milo!

    NOTE:

    - Light cream DOES NOT work!

    - Thickened cream (and pure cream) works best cold and straight out of the fridge.

    - For some reason the brand/use-by-date/cow etc always differs and affects the timing of the whipping. Keep an eye on it through the MC hole and if it looks 'frangipani' then it is ready to go, however the total 30 seconds generally seems to be the golden number!

    - The texture gets more aerated and 'mousse' like the longer you leave it (i.e. overnight)

Milo mousse - so easy, no sugar and could probably omit choc chips and it would still taste good and be less 'bitty' for the small people. 30 seconds perfect texture even before making it to the fridge. (home brand thickened cream). Thank you!

Used this recipe to show my Thermy to my daughter. Quick and easy, did not over beat so no butter, didn't need to add the sugar as it is sweet enough with chocolate, milo and cocoa powder.

Well done a quick and easy dessert to use at quick notice.

    Submitted by Melleah on 11. December 2016 - 21:54.

Delicious! Ovaltine works just as well.

I have made this multiple times and completely omitted the sugar every time. It's definitely sweet enough with the sugar in the milo!

It works well with or without the choc chips.. I substituted Lindt 70% block as that was all I had to hand - works beautifully, though a little chunkier than the chips.

Eaten straight away here, leftovers get to the fridge

Very rich, but perfect when portioned out.

    Submitted by Mandy05 on 28. November 2016 - 00:20.

I find that it can be eaten without putting in the fridge. I've made it with and without chocolate and it's great either way. I've also mixed it for longer (so it's more like milo butter) and piped onto chocolate cupcakes as an icing.
