      TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

  1. Place the malt biscuit into the Closed lid & blitz for 10 seconds, speed 9. Put aside in separate bowl.
  2. Cut the marshmallows in half & add to the crushed biscuit bowl.
  3. Combine the butter & sweetened condensed milk into the Closed lid. Set for 3 minutes, 50°C, speed 4.
Add the biscuit & marshmallows on Counter-clockwise operation speed 4 for 20 seconds.
  4. Remove the sticky mixture from the Closed lid & rest in the fridge for 10 minutes.
Shape into a log and roll in the dessicated coconut. Place back in the fridge.
  5. After an hour remove from the fridge & slice the log into even pieces. It should be firm enough to cut & still hold its shape. Enjoy a piece before the kids demolish it!
  6. This recipe was converted for the TM5 from this book.

Tip

You could use a round wine or super wine biscuit instead of malt. Mini marshmallows would save having to halve the bigger size marshmallows.
Instead of rolling in coconut could try crushed nuts.
