For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

So good!! I was impressed that the apples didn't need to be cooked first- how easy is that!! I only had self raising flour and was worried it would end up too cakey but it didn't. I added all crumble ingredients in except for the oats then weighed them in and mixed with spatula as I like the oats whole. Next time I might do a bit less flour and a bit more oats. But so good! I also peeled my apples. I served with Automated Custard from Basic Cookbook and cream. Delicious!!!!

So easy & yum, our go too crumble. I also add oats & sultanas & sometimes pear. I use GF oats & flour to make it gluten free.

Delicious and easy.  I added about 40g of rolled oats to the crumble after mixing and then mixed on reverse for a few seconds to combine.  Bit of extra goodness!

I also doubled the recipe with no problems and used a tin of pie apples, and a tin of apricots for an apricot crumble - yum! tmrc_emoticons.)
