Tip
This may taste a bit tart for some, if so increase the sugar to one cup. However is really nice to serve with a dessert such as my 'Easy Coconut Pie' or any dessert which is sweet and maybe with some cream/ice cream as well

I use this recipe to make stewed fruit. I use plums, nectarines and apples or pears. No sugar just the fruit and water. Turns out perfectly every time. We have it with yogurt

We enjoyed these stewed plums very much! I added 1 and half Tablespoons of raw sugar, about 50ml water, a little each of cinnamon and nutmeg, as well as some grated orange zest. Great with natural yoghurt or muesli.

Stewed plums: very nice for deserts or over cereal, although this turned out to be a very thin sauce. I did not add water.
I used about 50 ml sugar as we prefer tartness. Next time I will omit cloves as it is a bit overpowering.
