For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. -

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:

Recipe's preparation
- Add sugar and water
3 min 45* speed 3
Add fresh lemon juice
Add the juice of 2 small pomegranates (around 150g)
5 second 5 speed
Add 650g of ice and crush 5 for 5
Note: If you prefer to use lemons whole (first Peel and remove pips) use Pom seeds, you can, however prior to the final step of adding ice, you would need to strain it and then re add juice to bowl.
