First time making curried sausages at husbands request and he absolutely loved it, the curry was beautiful but the sausages weren’t quite cooked enough, I would prob pan fry or grill next time. It was too spicy for the 10yr old and I didn’t add the sultanas. Very yummy dish - thank you 😊

Loved the flavour. I cooked my sausages in the grill to remove all the fat. Loved it! Very strong curry flavour. If you like a
mild curry use only one tablespoon.

A super yummy recipe and a new favourite in our house. My husband had three helpings! Instead of using the Varoma to cook the sausages, I boiled them and this worked fine. I also didn’t have beef stock so substituted with chicken stock and it worked nicely.

    Submitted by bekogrady on 1. May 2018 - 07:22.

Tasted amazing and made a large quantity to feed around 6 people!
The sausages I used we’re relatively thick so I needed to cook them for longer than the 20 minutes. Pays to check them before starting the next step because I ended up needing to cook the sausages in the oven as I’d emptied the water and started the sauce.

  • I halved the recipe and it

    Submitted by Outmumbered on 18. October 2016 - 22:04.

I halved the recipe and it worked well. Had <500g cooked sausages left over from previous night's dinner so only made the sauce. I didn't peel the apple but will next time as the skin kept it in chunks rather than soft little pieces throughout the sauce. I tried this recipe as it seemed the closest to the traditional curried sausages and was very simple. I stired through a dash of cream at the end - delicious!
