I made an 'Italian' version of this substituting Italian sausages (500g), Napoli (or tomato pasta) sauce (500g) instead of the tinned soup. I also added a tin of cannellini beans, two cloves of garlic, herbs, chilli flakes and topped with parmesan. It was delicious thanks!

I revisited this recipe tonight and added a clove of garlic with the onion, I chopped the bacon by hand so pieces were more even and then added to bowl and sauteed with onion & garlic. I also added about 100gm of sliced mushroom when I added the sliced sausages to the sauce. Delicious!

Flavour was nice, but needed boosting with some cumin. Sauce was quite thin also, however I will try this again with a little tweaking.
Wasn't my favourite sausage
Wasn't my favourite sausage recipe. May have been sausages I used. Nice flavour. Would have liked sauce thicker.

I've never cooked or eaten sausages any other way than on the BBQ so I was a little nervous about how this meal would taste... Delicious! thumbs up from the family. Will definitely make it again.
I cooked the never fail mashed potatoes in the thermi while boiling the sausages on the stove. I didnt wash the bowl, just went straight the chopping and sautéing the onion and bacon.

Very tasty, kids & husband demolished this. As suggested in another comment I cooked the sausages in the varoma basket, turned out fabulous. Then just added them to the thermomix bowl for an extra couple of mins. Served this with rice & corn. (Will add peas & carrot next time, just didn't have any).

Super yummy! I made a bit of an oopsie and didn't put the thermi on reverse so ended up with more of a sausage stew than casserole but the flavours were delicious! Served with mash potato/pumpkin and some carrots and peas. My boys gobbled it up!

Great tasty dish, loved it with mashed potatoes and vegetables. There was heaps of yummy sauce and I thought it may be good to add some more sausages, but the bowl was full to capacity. May just mix a few more sausages into the dish by hand at the end. Thanks for sharing.

Hi Clare,
I think I cooked the last 15-20 mins on Varoma temp but I think 100° would be OK. I will make again and edit the recipe once I have done it. Thanks for noticing the temp issue. Cheers. Carol
Great recipe. My son loves
Great recipe. My son loves sausage casserole and this one certainly hit the spot. One question with the recipe though it doesn't indicate the temp for the last stage. I cooked on veroma and it was fine but thought I would mention it. Good to keep in mind with left over bbq'd sausages!
A hit with the fussy eaters!
