Low Carb Pizza

  • 1/2 bunch cauliflower
  • 1 egg
  • 50 g parmesan cheese grated, grate this before the other ingredients if necessary
  • 50 g Cheddar cheese, grate this before the other ingredients if necessary

  • 2 tablespoons tomato pizza base
  • 2 slice Pinapple, chopped
  • pepperoni
  • ham
  • Olives
  • Capsicum
  • mozarella
  • Parmesan cheese

Recipe's preparation

    Chop the cauliflower
  1. Put the cauliflower into the thermie and blitz for 30 sec speed 5-6 until fine.

  2. remove the cauliflower and put in a sieve to push out the moister.  Alternatively put in a teatowel and squeeze out moisture.

  3. Put the cauliflower back into the thermomix.  Add the egg and the cheeses and blend for 20 seconds on speed 5.

  4. Tip the mix onto a prepared tray (baking paper) and smooth out to a "pizza" shape.

  5. Bake in a 180 degree oven for about 15 minutes or until it starts to turn a little golden.

  6. Remove base and start to dress with your toppings as desired.

Accessories you need

Because the base doesn't crisp up as much as a pizza base, you may need to eat with a knife and fork.

  • I love pizza but don't love

I love pizza but don't love that 'heavy' feeling you get after eating it. This recipe lets you enjoy your pizza still but in a healthy way, i put ham, capiscum and tomato on for my topiings with a little grated cheese as well. It was different but tasty. Thanks
