  • 160 g white beans
  • 800 g Canned tomatoes, 2 cans
  • 90 g red capsicum, Cut into 3cm pieces
  • 65 g red onion, Cut into half
  • 1 garlic clove
  • 50 g apple cider vinegar
  • Pinch nutmeg
  • 1/4 level tsp Mustard seeds
  • 5 black peppercorns
  • 1 bayleaf
  • 1/2 level tsp paprika
  • Pinch cayenne pepper

Recipe's preparation

    Method
  1. 1. Place beans in a heatproof bowl and cover with boiling water, set aside to soak overnight.

    2. Add capsicum, onion, garlic, chilli and chop 5 sec/speed 7, add tomatoes and apple cider vinegar and cook 40 mins/120 deg/ speed 2 placing simmering basket on top of mixing bowl lid.

    5. Add nutmeg, mustard seeds, peppercorns, bay leaf, paprika, cayenne pepper and cook 15-20 min/120 deg/speed 2 placing simmering basket on top of mixing bowl lid.

    6. Remove simmering basket, insert measuring cup and blend 1 min gradually increasing speed from 5-10.

    7. Add cooked navy beans and cook for 30 -40 mins/100 deg/ speed 2 or until beans are soft

    8. Serve on sourdough
