Quorn Chicken Style and Mushroom Stroganoff

  • 350g Quorn chicken style pieces
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 red onion, peeled and chopped into quarters
  • 2 cloves garlic, peeled
  • 225g fresh brown mushrooms, washed and sliced
  • 250 ml vegetable stock, (1tbsp paste = 1 stock cube)
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 2 tbsp brandy
  • 100 mls crème fraiche
  • salt
  • pepper, ground
  • parsley, chopped for garnishing
  • 250g white rice
  • 500g water
  • 10-20g oil

Recipe's preparation

  1. Place onion and garlic in mixing bowl and chop 3 secs / speed 7, scrape down the sides.
  2. Add in oil and saute 3 mins / veroma / speed 1
  3. Add Quorn, Mushrooms and Paprika and cook 5 mins / veroma / speed 1
  4. Add Brandy and cook for 5 mins / veroma / speed 1
  5. Add creme fraiche and cook for 5 mins / veroma / speed 1
  6. Transfer to thero server to keep hot.
    Rinse and dry mixing bowl
  7. Rice
  8. Place 250g rice in mixing bowl
  9. Add 500g water, oil, salt
    cook on rice cooker mode.
  10. serve Stroganoff on rice and garnish with chopped parsley.
