  If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
  For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
  
  Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Easy Quick Rice dish

Recipe's preparation

Method

Grate Parmesan for 10 sec/Speed 1. Set aside.

Place grated lemon zest, garlic, spring onion, chilli and parsley into mixing bowl and chop for 5 sec/Speed 5. Scrape down sides of bowl.

Add fish sauce, vegemite, butter and oil and saute for 3 min/Varoma/Reverse/Speed 1 with MC removed.

Add rice and 60g stock and cook for 1 min/100c/Reverse/Speed 1 with MC removed.

Add 620g stock, cream, lemon juice and season to taste and cook for 12 min/100c/Reverse/Speed 1 with MC removed and simmering basket on top of bowl.

Add prawn meat and snow peas using the spatula to submerge and cook for 3 min/100c/Reverse/Speed 1 with MC removed and simmering basket on top of bowl.

Pour into thermoserver, stir through reserved parmesan cheese and enjoy!!

Tip

Can use only half juiced lemon if you don’t like too much lemon flavour.

Can substitute snow peas for frozen peas or frozen peas and corn.
