Dairy Free Carbonara

Ingredients

6 portion(s)

  • 2 cloves garlic, peeled
  • 300 g bacon, roughly chopped
  • 1 Spanish onion, Quartered
  • 200 g mushrooms, sliced
  • some fresh parsley, chopped (a small handful)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp Mixed Herbs, Dry
  • 200 g pasta
  • 270 g coconut cream
  • 400 g water
  • 1 egg, mixed

Recipe's preparation

  1. Add garlic to bowl and mince on speed 7 for 3 seconds.

  2. Add bacon & onion to the bowl and chop on speed 5 for 3 seconds. Scrape down sides

  3. Cook at 100°C on speed 1 for 5 minutes.

  4. Add all remaining ingredients except the egg to bowl. Cook at 100°C on Counter-clockwise operationGentle stir setting for 20 minutes. Use the spatula to stir a couple of times during cooking.

  5. Pour meal into Thermoserver, add egg mixture and stir in thoroughly. Put lid on and leave to sit for a few minutes

  6. Serve and enjoy.

Tip

NOTE: If dairy isn't an issue for your family you can replace coconut cream with dairy cream. You can also add cheese on top if desired.
