This a very big serve, quick, easy (although I'd prefer the recipe to be written in steps, to make it easier to read) and tasty. The use of a sweeter soy sauce was a good addition.

My son found chopsticks in my kitchen crap drawer and requested rice. Bit of a quick search and gave this a try. Kids and Dad loved it and requested leftovers for lunch. I didn’t quite understand the egg part so cooked in pan. Rice perfect, cooked for 18 mins, 1000g water and speed 4 as recommended.

Will adjust as per advice on here for the rice. Up the water to 1000mls & cook at speed 4.

Great recipe! I changed the rice cooking as suggested in earlier comments for my TM5 to 1000g water and speed 4 and the rice was perfect. I also had to substitute the veggies as my husband can’t eat peas and corn. I added grilled chicken to bulk it out and I grilled the bacon with it. Turned out delicious! Will be making again for sure.

Really quick & easy! I reduced rice to 200grams as it was only for 3 of us. Kept the other quantities the same as wanted lots of veges. I didn’t chop the carrot, celery or mushrooms in step 1 as I prefer them chunky so just cut them up myself & put in varoma tray.
i didn’t have any problems with undercooked rice but maybe that’s because I had reduced the quantity. I increased to 2 tablespoons of each of the sauces as 1 didn’t give it enough colour & flavour.

Tasty and simple! I omitted the mushrooms but doubled the onion, garlic and sauces at the end. Think I will add chilli next time for additional flavour.
I followed others recommendations for TM5 and added extra water and additional 8 minutes to the cooking time. Everything was perfectly cooked.

I made this a hundred times in my TM31, always amazing. First time making it in ny new TM5... and silly me didn't read comments below.
Rice was still hard after normal time. I added more water, and stuck in on for an extra 7 minutes. PERFECT.
Everyone in our house (of 6) love this meal.

Made this as one of my freezer meals to prepare before our little one's arrival in March. Recipe made so much which was great. I'm not sure what it is but I found it a little tasteless and bland. Could have been pregnancy hormones or the fact I don't eat bacon... I enjoy this with something but probably wouldn't eat on its own. Also I had issues with the rice cooking.

Nice easy fried rice. I just need to be careful not to mince the bacon next time😁
The water level, speed and time as stated in the recipe cooked the rice perfectly. We have a TM31.

Absolulely delicious!! I can't believe I waited so long to try this recipe. If you have a TM5 please read through comments as you need to change the speed to 4 to cook the rice properly. My whole family enjoyed this immensly! Perfect for making the night after a roast chicken dinner, by using the leftover chicken. Makes HEAPS!
