    Great rice dish!

Large serve. Next time I'd probably reduce the rice a little bit and try to add a few more peas (personal preference)

Great recipe! My husband liked it and said he would eat it again!

I used spring onion and added capsicum, and tinned corn. I doubled the sauces (and used soy sauce). Next time will add the cooked chook, but there was plenty there without it.

    Thanks for sharing!

This dish is amazing! It was my first 'layered cooking' dish and oh boy it did not disappoint! Yum yum! And so easy too.

I omitted the mushrooms and bacon but added capsicum and an extra tablespoon of soy sauce and a tablespoon of oyster sauce because my husband likes his 'fried rice' saucy tmrc_emoticons.;)

Loads of leftovers now in individual portions in the freezer Smile

Submitted by Christina Carole on 2. January 2017 - 21:32.

Thank you for this recipe. I just made it using left over Christmas Ham instead of bacon, and substitued vegies for what I had on hand. Capsicum and zucchini for the mushrooms and shallots for the onion. Tasted great and looked very colourful. Think I will add some fresh corriander next time too. Doubled the Kap Manis and Oyster sauce as for my taste it seemed such a lot of rice for only 1 tablespoon of each.

It is a terrific dish for a party or big group as it made a huge bowl. This will be a regular on our menu. Thanks.

    Submitted by Aussie TM5 Thermomixer on 1. January 2017 - 17:21.

This was a winner! I made it for the first time for guests coming over for a NYE get together yesterday and increased the rice to 500g and cooking time to 18 minutes - was perfect! I mixed a can of peas and corn through the finished rice, so didn't use the steamer, and also skipped the egg and added a bit of fish sauce and pepper for extra flavour. Everyone loved it, thank you for a great recipe!

    Submitted by Bec_j_b on 20. September 2016 - 23:19.

First time making this and it tasted amazing!  Only thing that seemed to go wrong was my egg was still runny going off the time in instructions.  I put it back on for another 5 mins and egg was cooked but I should had taken the rice out as it was a little over cooked - but still tasted awesome.

I made this with a cashew chicken recipe on here and hubby said both tasted better than when we order fried rice and cashew chicken from what we thought was the best we had ever tasted from an authentic restaurant.

Thank you for this recipe and everyone else that shares!!  tmrc_emoticons.)
