      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

  1. Place bowl onto Thermomix, weigh 120g flour and 1/4 tsp salt into bowl and place aside
  2. Insert butterfly whisk, add 1 egg and 50 gram sugar, 30 seconds speed 4 Counter-clockwise operation
  3. Put flour and salt into bowl, add 180 grams milk and 1 tsp vanilla, 15 seconds speed 4 Counter-clockwise operation
  4. Heat fry pan with a knob of butter, when hot pour pikelets into fry pan and cook till bubbles form then flip over and finish cooking
