For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl. -

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:

Recipe's preparation
- Preheat oven to 160C
- Mill sugar 7sec / speed 9.
- Add butter and cocoa powder to bowl with sugar, and melt 3-4 mins / 60C / speed 2.
- Add eggs and vanilla essence, and mix 10 sec / speed 4.
- Add flour and mix 10 sec / speed 4.
- Scrape down sides and mix for a further 8 secs / speed 4.
- Pour into a 20cm square tin lined with baking paper.
- Bake 25-30mins
- Let cool for a few mins before cutting.
