      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

  1. Place butter and flour into mixing bowl and without measuring cup, cook 3 min/100°C/speed 1. Scrape down sides of mixing bowl with spatula.
  2. Add chicken stock paste, water, soy sauce and worcestershire sauce, place lid on with mc off. Place simmering basket on top and cook 12 min/100°C/speed 2.5. Carefully remove simmering basket and set aside. Garnish gravy with fresh thyme and serve hot.

Tip

I prefer a richer gravy so use the 2 tablespoons of soy and tomato sauce, Adjust to your personal taste. You could also try this sauce/ gravy with the juices from your steamed beef or pork.
