Recipe's preparation
1. Add capsicum, tomatoes, onion, garlic and chilli's (or dried chilli flakes if using) to TM bowl and Chop 5 seconds, Speed 4 "Closed lid"
2. Scrape down sides of bowl and Chop again if required (I usually chop for another couple of seconds on Speed 4)
3. Add white wine vinegar, caster sugar, brown sugar and balsamic vinegar to TM bowl
4. Cook 35 minutes/Varoma temperature/Reverse/Soft Stir "Counter-clockwise operation" "Gentle stir setting"
5. Remove MC and add the steaming basket to allow evaporation and ensure no splatter
6. I then bottle in glass steralised bottles and it seems to last a while (not that it has a chance in our house!)
Note We use this sauce/jam on chicken, fish, steak and as a dip on crackers. I would love to hear your feedback

Delicious! Altered the recipe as only had 200g of mixed green and red capsicum and substituted the tomatoes for a 400g tin of diced tomatoes for convenience. However I accidentally read the recipe as 3 tbsp of chilli flakes instead of 3 tsp so very hot but so delicious!

Sorry I missed your questions....as you will know it's more like a jam not the consistency of sweet chilli sauce. I usually get a couple of large jars out of this recipe. Thanks for the comments!

Yum! This great on home made burgers esp teamed with home made mayo.... Thx
Is it thick like a bought jam
Is it thick like a bought jam or is it pourable like chilli sauce? Making stuff for a school fete and need to have jars suitable. Any idea on volume it makes?
happened to have all the ingredients so made it, and got about 700ml I would think. 3 chutney jars that I think would be 200ml and then half a jar left over which we will taste test...
