Recipe's preparation

  1. Weigh dessicated coconut into TM bowl and blend for 2 minutes on speed 9.  Scrape down bowl.

     

    Add maple syrup and heat for 2 minutes at 37degC on speed 9, or until mixture is of a smooth consistency.

    Pour into a clean/sterilised jar.  No need to refrigerate and will keep well for several weeks.

Tip

 


There are many coconut butter variations on the market now, and they can be quite pricey.  You can easily make this lovely spread in your TM!


 


If you have trouble getting the right consistency, adding a little coconut oil can help.  I sometimes do this if I'm making this butter in cooler weather.

    Sorry this didn't work for you Scrappermellsy! Different brands of dried coconut have more or less moisture in them and I find that drier coconut takes longer to break down. Sometimes blending for longer at a slightly lower speed in the beginning helps, as does adding a small amount of coconut oil tmrc_emoticons.)

    Had a go at making this today. was really disappointed with the result. Had to keep switching machine off during the 2 mins as I was worried I would blow it up. End result wasnt good and I wouldn't make it again unfortunately. Not sure where I went wtong.
