If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Delicious! Did this recipe as I didn't have enough figs for the other ones and also had 2 ripe pears on the bench! I forgot to put the basket on the top, but fortunately it didn't boil over. The fruit was swimming in syrup at the end about the size of nutmegs so I gave it a 3 second wizz. Beautiful! In the jars now and a lovely pink colour. Oh I used lemon juice as bellfamilyjunior mentioned and forgot the vanilla. But don't think it needs it. Lovely flavour.

10/10 for this recipe. I added lemon juice (1/4 cup) in lieu of citric acid. It turned out perfectly and set like no other jam I've made. Did I mention it is delicious as well?
