If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Add onions, oil & brown sugar. 10 minutes/100degrees/"Gentle stir setting"
Add all remaining ingredients. Place simmering basket in place of measuring cup to help reduce the liquid from tomatoes. 45 minutes/100degrees/"Gentle stir setting" "Counter-clockwise operation"
Increase temperature to veroma for final amount of prefered time, untll liquid has been reduced to suit preference. Time can vary depending on type of tomatoes used and ripeness.

Tip
5 small red chilli's create a medium heat for me. If you would prefer hot add more, or visa versa, less. Can also make without!When left to cool it will thicken.I make this when i see tomatoes in bulk on sale. Great with bacon and eggs, on a sandwich, with steak or chops etc.
