      TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

Just made this jam it tastes great but didn't thicken even after extra 10 mins plus I found temp of tm6 was to hot so I had to reduce it to 100 while I was cleaning sticky jam from every where lol

Delicious! I usually try and avoid tomato recipes that require 'peeling' - but really so easy to do and well worth making the time to do so. I did add a few of my own tweaks though - I added another garlic clove and a bit more fresh ginger, I measured the tomatoes once topped and peeled and chopped the tomatoes for 4 sec /Sp5 before adding rest of ingredients. To prevent the bubbling over effect - I cooked for 10 mins on Varoma - stopped the thermomix and then added a knob of butter - this stops the bubbling over - and then cooked for another 38mins/Varoma/Sp 1. Thank you for a delicious recipe. My jars were 370ml so not quite 3 jars - but for gift giving would be great in smaller jars (and go further!). Made recipe in TM31 and TM5 - not sure of the reason, but more jam in TM31 at the end than in the TM5!

The jam was even better than my Grandma made. I have been looking for a similar tomato jam recipe for more than 20 years.  I found I had to cook for a further 5 minutes until it became thick.  YUMMY.  I give it a 5 STAR.  Thank you J9 Dragonfly.
