Recipe is created for
TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Add a commentI just made this and also
I just made this and also found it to be very thick and spicy. I have frozen it into 1 tbls iceblocks for tomato paste.. Lovely flavour though. Maybe keep the MC on for half the cooking time to stop it reducing so much?
I have just made this exactly
I have just made this exactly as per the recipe and the end result is more of a spicy tomato paste, which is ok as I will use it in recipes like spaghetti bolognese, chilli con carne, pizza sauce, home made baked beans etc. I'm sure it will be fantastic for that so it certainly won't go to waste as it tastes great. I will try other recipes though for a ketchup style tomato sauce.
