I'm cooking this today

Recipe's preparation

  1. If milling your own flour, do this before you begin.

If grating cheese in thermomix. Add smaller blocks and grate for 7sec / speed 8 / MC on

  2. Add all ingredients to the bowl.

    12 minutes / 90 degrees / speed 4 / MC on

  3. Remove bechamel from thermomix and add to your lasagne layers!

  4. Pour a nice glass of red wine while you wait for your lasagne to cook.

Tip

Thermomix may move around until the ingredients have broken down. Keep an eye on your precious machine!

You can turn down to speed 3 once the mixture is smooth if you would like to cut down on noise. tmrc_emoticons.)

Wash the bowl immediately after use, as milk based cooking is hard to clean up if you leave it too long.

Some people like to add garlic, onion or parsley to their sauce. Add whatever extras you like...it can all go in at once.

    Recipe is created for
    TM 5
If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.
Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

    Very nice!
i also melted the butter first and then added everything else as per recipe. I also added a bit of Parmesan cheese at the end and stirred through.

Hmmm in my head i thought should melt butter and add flour first and mix for a few minutes but didn't. Texture is great but flavour not what i expected. With that extra step would have been great!

I did melt the butter first as per the Basic cook book Bechamel recipe - but then followed this recipe for the remainder. Turned out awesome! Thank you! tmrc_emoticons.)
