Pumpkin soup

  • 2 brown onions, Chopped quaters
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 20 g Butter
  • 500 g pumpkin, Chopped in 2cm pieces
  • 2 carrots, Chopped chunks
  • 1 green apple, Peeled quatered
  • 600 g water
  • 1 heaped tablespoons chicken stock paste
  • 2 level teaspoons dried mixed herbs, Or Italian mixed herbs
  • 50 g cream, Pouring cream
  • 150 g Milk
  • 2 pinches salt
  • 2 pinches cracked pepper

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

    Pumpkin soup method
  1. 1. Place onion and garlic cloves inClosed lid,3sec speed 5. Scrape bowl with spatula.

    2. Add butter saute 3min/120°/speed1.

    3. Add pumpkin, carrots, apple, chop 15sec speed 7, scrape sides of bowl.

    4.Add water, stock paste and herbs. Cook 20mins/ 100°/speed 1. Place steamer basket on lid.

    5. Add cream and milk, blend 1 min/ from speed 5 to 9.

    6. Season with salt and pepper.
