  • 30 g olive oil
  • 1-2 cloves garlic
  • 1 Onion, around 100g, Peeled and halved
  • 2 heaped tablespoons tomato paste
  • 2 cans canned diced tomatoes
  • 1 litre chicken stock
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp smoked paprika
  • 1/2 tsp dried chilli flakes, Or to taste
  • 2 bay leaves
  • 1/2 tsp dried thyme leaves

      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid.       If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:

Recipe's preparation

    How to:
  1. 1. Chop onion with garlic and oil 5secs/sp5.

    2. Add tomato paste and cook 1min/Varoma/sp2

    3. Add remaining ingredients except for the cream,
    30mins/110°C/sp2. You may have a little too much stock. Fill only to max level as indicated on the inside of the bowl.

    4. Remove the bay leaves, add the cream and blend slowly to sp6 over 30secs. MC in.

    Serve with crunchy baguettes.
