      Recipe is created for
      TM 5
Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Recipe's preparation

  1. add onion medium sized cut into 4
    garlic peeled
leek wash well use white part they vary in size approx 200g
add butter then chop 4 secs speed 5 scrape down
    cook 5min/ 120/speed 1
add potatoes and water and stock if you want to cut down cooking time I chop 2 secs speed 4 just to make spuds smaller then cook 15 mins/100/Sp 1

i normally season when finished salt and pepper, you can add dash cream or garlic croutons

then process 1min speed 8 turn dial slowly from 4-8
the original recipe is for a t31 I cooked in t5 I would reduce water by 200g once cooked and processed then add extra hot water and mix to combine

Smile This was nice. I put the potato in with the the rest of the ingredients as I used Royal Blues which are more waxy than other potatos. I also put the basket on top to thicken the soup instead of the MC except for the last 5 minutes which made the soup thicker, however you could just leave the basket on for a much thicker soup.

Suggest using the curry mix powder from the Spicy Cauliflower Soup Recipe from the Cooking for You and Me book. This is good for most soups.
