  • Half brown onion, Peeled and quartered
  • 2 centimetres ginger
  • Half teaspoon chili flakes
  • 1 tablespoon Butter
  • Half butternut pumpkin, Peeled and roughly chopped
  • 1 sweet potato, Peeled and roughly chopped
  • 1 carrot, Peeled and roughly chopped
  • 1 potato, Peeled and roughly chopped
  • 600 grams water
  • 1 heaped tablespoon TM31 stock
  • 60 grams cream

Recipe's preparation

  1. METHOD Roast the pumpkin and sweet potato and let cool  Place onion & ginger into TM bowl and chop for 5 sec on speed 5  Scrape down sides of bowl Add chili flakes & butter and sauté for  2 1/2 min at 100c on speed 1 Add carrot and potato chop for 7 sec on speed 7  Scrape down sides of bowl  Add pumpkin and sweet potato chop for 5 sec speed 7  Scrape down sides of bowl Add water/ stock & sugar and cook for 20 min at 100c on speed 1 Add cream and blend for 15 sec by slowly increasing from speed 1 to 9 I serve my soup with a dollop of creme fraiche and some basil.

By roasting the pumpkin and sweet potato a beautiful sweet roasted taste is achieved!

    Great recipe. I cooked the carrots and potatoe for 5 minutes on 100, added the pumpkin - which was alreday quite soft - and cooked it all for another 5 minutes on 90 before I carefully chopped it. Didn't add cream.

    Loved this recipe. Had to make a few changes due to not having enough ingredients.

    No chilli(could not find it)

    No sweet potato - Just added more butternut and carrots.

    No cream but added Philly cream cheese instead.

    It was amazing.

  • We had this for dinner this

    We had this for dinner this evening & it was beautiful.  Only a couple of variations: no chilli (for the kids) & no onion (but used a couple of cloves of garlic) & no cream.  Kids & hubby & my mother all said it was delish!
