  • 1 med onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 cm pieceof ginger, peeled
  • 1 long red chilli
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • pinch of sugar
  • 2 medium sweet potato (approx 400 grams)
  • 100 grams red lentils
  • 2 Tbs TM vegetable stok concentrate
  • 1 lfiltered water
  • fresh coriander, to garnish

Recipe's preparation

  1. Place chilli. garlic, onion and ginger into bowl and chop on speed 7 for 2 secs. Add cumin other ingredients in bowl and sautee on 100 degrees, 3 mins, speed 1.  Add remaining ingredients except coriander and cook on 100 degrees for 25 minutes on speed 1. Puree for 1 minute on speed 9. Serve with fresh coriander if desired.

    Yum! I deseeded the chilli 🌶️ before adding & also some oil after adding the cumin to sauté before adding the rest of the ingredients

    I agree with masterchef_not re confusing instructions. I took the second step to mean "add oil" (which is not listed in the ingredients) and sauté for 3 mins at 100, then add all remaining ingredients at the next step.

    I only added 800g water which gave it a nice thick texture, and it was really tasty!

    As a newbie to the TM, I found the preparation instructions a little confusing.  When it came to the second step it says add cumin other ingredients in bowl and sautee on 100 degrees, 3 mins, speed 1.  I took this as meaning all the other ingredients, so I put it all in and then realised too late, that I should have sauteed the onion, ginger etc., before adding the rest and cooking for the 25 mins.  Perhaps the directions could be amended to be a little clearer for us beginners.  tmrc_emoticons.)
