Ingredients

Curry

  • 25 g Butter, cubed
  • 1 brown onion
  • 2 clove garlic
  • 2cm ginger, peeled
  • 1 teaspoon tumeric
  • 1/2 teaspoon chilli powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 600 g Chuck Steak, Fat Trimmed & Diced
  • 400 g coconut cream
  • 100 g carrot, peeled and sliced
  • 200 g potato, peeled and diced 1cm
  • 100 g green beans, sliced 2 cm lengths
  • salt and pepper to taste

Recipe's preparation

    Curry
  1. Add Garlic and Ginger to bowl and chop on speed 6 for 5 seconds. Scrape down sides.

     

  2. Add Onion to the bowl and chop on speed 4 for 3 seconds. Scrape down sides.

     

  3. Add butter and saute with no MC for 2 minutes, Varoma Gentle stir setting"Gentle stir setting" speed. Scrape down sides.

     

  4. Add spices and cook on 100 degrees Gentle stir setting"Gentle stir setting" speed for 5 minutes. Scrape down sides.

     

  5. Add the beef and cook on 100 degrees Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation" Gentle stir setting"Gentle stir setting" speed for 5 minutes. Scrape down sides.

     

  6. Add coconut cream, potato and carrot and cook on 100 degrees Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation" Gentle stir setting"Gentle stir setting" speed for 5 minutes.

     

  7. Scrape down sides and cook on 80 degrees Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation" speed 1 for 45 minutes.

     

  8. Scrape down sides and cook on 100 degrees Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation" speed 1 for 10 mins no MC

     

  9. Add the Green beans and salt and pepper and cook for 10 minutes Counter-clockwise operation"Counter-clockwise operation" speed 1 on 90 degrees with the MC back in place.

     

  10. Once time is up pour the contents into the thermoserver while you cook your rice in the Thermomix as per the EDC.

Tip

Serve with rice & Roti bread.

Even better for lunch the next day.

    I love curries and what is great about this one is that anyone would enjoy it. I added more chilli to mine because I'm an addict but it's a good one to cover all tastes. It's so saucy which I really enjoyed too. Good job!
