Recipe's preparation

  1. Cut sweet potato into cubes and place into the Varoma with the broccoli. Steam as per Varoma instructions (20 minutes should do it). Set aside.

Remove water from the bowl. Cut the the fish into cubes (removing any bones) and add to bowl. Add milk and cook for 8 minutes, 90 degrees, speed 1.

Check fish is cooked all the way through (should be white all the way through). Cook for a further 1-2 minutes if not fully cooked.

Add sweet potato and broccoli to the mixing bowl and blend for 30 seconds to 1 minute on speed 6, depending on how lumpy/smooth you need it. (Smoother for young babies, lumpier for older babies).

This recipe is adapted for the Thermomix from a baby food recipe book I have, and is suitable for babies from 6 months old.

Tip

I freeze portions of this in ice cube trays, and feed them to my baby 1-2 at a time. It makes about 20 cubes in the size trays I have.

I just made and fed this to my 7 month old. It was her first taste of fish and she seemed to like it!  I tripled the recipe and froze in portions in silicone baby weinmaster trays for later use. Thanks for the recipe tmrc_emoticons.-)

This is such a great baby food recipe.  I make this one all the time for my nearly 9 month old, sometimes putting in a few extra vegies.  He loves it. Highly recommend.
