Made these the other day... They were ok, not exactly what i was hoping them to be.
More like cheese & bacon scons.
If i make again, I will swap the grated cheese to a slice of cheese to cover the roll better.

Note to self- try egg wash first before cheese to help it stick. Try 8 rolls next time.

So easy and great tasting rolls. I just need a way to pack more cheese & bacon on top without it slipping off whilst cooking - YUM. (2nd attempt - just push the bacon into the cheese rather than sprinkle on top) tastes even better 😄👌🏻

    Submitted by McCubbinMama on 11. January 2016 - 20:51.

Really light soft fluffy dough.  I cooked for 30 minutes but would probably reduce to 25 for our Oven.  My daughter loved them but I thought they were a little bland so may add some herbs and Parmesan next time.  Or sweet chilli? The options are endless.  Thanks for the recipe

So yummy, I made these today for my son who loves the ones from Bakers Delight and he said "mummy these ones are better than the ones at Bakers Delight"  they are so light and fluffy. I did use bakers flour instead of plain flour and 2 teaspoons of yeast but all the other ingredients the same as recipe. This will be a regular in our household now. Thanks for a great recipetmrc_emoticons.)

    Submitted by AmesinAus on 16. October 2015 - 15:12.

Very tasty. I doubled the yeast, and find the dough rather sticky to work with. Used at least half of the recommended amount of cheese and bacon for the topping. Delicious! Next time I may add a dash of cayenne pepper to the dough, and possibly double the cheese in the dough also. Great recipe. Thanks!
