Vegemite Sausage Rolls

  • 400 grams Sausage meat
  • 500 grams Mince meat

    Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Recipe's preparation



    1. Preheat oven to 220°C/200°C fan-forced.


    2. Line 2 large baking trays with baking paper.


    3. Place garlic, onion and rosemary in bowl for 4 seconds on speed 7


    4. Add in the cheese, Vegemite, 1 egg, breadcrumbs and sausage mince and Mince and mix 10-15 seconds on reverse speed 4 until combined.


    5. Cut pastry sheets in half.


    6. Place a long narrow strip of the sausage mix along the edge of the pastry.


    7. Brush opposite edge with the beaten egg.


    8. Roll up pastry to enclose filling and cut into thirds.


    9. Place, seam-side down, on prepared tray.


    10. Repeat with remaining mixture and pastry.


    11. Brush sausage roll tops with beaten egg.


    12. Sprinkle with sesame seeds.


    13. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden and puffed.


    14. Cool on tray for 5 minutes.
