  • 220 g Milk
  • 2 tsp vanilla essence
  • 325 g SR flour
  • 75 g cocoa powder
  • 430 g sugar
  • 210 g Boiling hot water

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

  1. Heat oven to 180, line/grease 3 loaf tins or large cake tin.

    Add oil, milk and vanilla essence to bowl

    Counter-clockwise operation 10 second, speed 4

    Scrape down sides of bowl

    Add flour, cocoa and sugar to bowl

    Counter-clockwise operation 10 second, speed 4

    Srape down sides of bowl 

    Add hot water

    Counter-clockwise operation 10 seconds, speed 4

    Pour into tin/s, bake at 180 for 40 mins for loafs, 50 mins for large cake.

    This is the best chocolate cake recipe, it is quick and easy and very moist. A fave in our house.

    Ingredients say 2 eggs but eggs are not mentioned in the method. Made it without as I only realised at the very end. Still worked out
