Brown Sugar Shortbread

  • 225 g Butter, Cubed
  • 150 g brown sugar
  • 280 g plain flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp cornflour

Recipe's preparation

    Brown Sugar Shortbread
  1. Preheat oven to 175 degrees Celsius for fan forced.

    Line baking trays with silicone mats or baking paper.

    Place butter and brown sugar into the bowl and cream 1 minute/speed 4.

    Add remaining ingredients and take slowly to Speed 6/10 Seconds.

    Turn to knead mode for 1 minute.

    Using a teaspoonful of mixture, roll into balls and place on trays, allowing for spreading, flatten with a stamp or a wax seal to make a pattern. Alternatively, roll into 2 sausage shapes and refrigerate then slice into rounds.

    Bake for 10-12 minutes. Allow to cool on tray before removing to wire rack. Store in airtight container. These keep well.
