Budget Brownie

  • 170 g brown sugar
  • 170 g white sugar
  • 150 g Butter
  • 3 eggs
  • 130 g plain flour
  • 30 g cocoa powder
  • 1/2 level tsp baking powder

Recipe's preparation

    Method
  1. 1. Preheat oven 170C
    2. Line slice tray with baking paper
    3. Add flour, cocoa and baking powder to the bowl and mix 10 sec/speed5 to sift, set aside
    4. Add butter and sugars to the bowl, with mc on cook 5 min/80C/speed 2 or until melted
    5. Allow to cool 10 minutes
    6. Add sifted dry ingredients and eggs mix 30 sec/speed3 or until combined
    7. Pour into prepared tin and bake 30 minutes.
    8. Let cool in pan dust with icing sugar to serve

Tip

Can easily be converted to Gluten Free by using gluten free flour and baking powder.
I have often served this as a dessert with strawberries and double cream or would be delicious warm with ice cream and chocolate sauce

    Love it - my new 'go to' when I have to take a plate & so easy to make it a GF option!
