Cookie Jar Biscuits

  • 150 grams Butter
  • 200 grams brown sugar
  • 2 egg
  • 400 grams plain flour
  • 1 level tsp baking powder
  • 1 level tsp bicarbonate of soda
  • 1 level tsp salt
  • 2 level tsp cinnamon sugar
  • 1 level tsp Nutmeg
  • 117 grams Milk
  • 177 grams rolled oats
  • 110 grams raisins

Recipe's preparation

  1. Pre heat oven to 185 degs
    Place baking paper on tray and set aside.

    1. Mix together, on sp3 for 20 sec, butter, brown sugar and eggs. Scrape down sides.

    2. Add plain flour, baking powder, soda, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg - mix 10 sec on reverse sp 3.
    Scrape down side and bottom.

    3. Add milk, oats, raisins and nuts. Mix 40 sec sp 5 reverse.

    4. Drop teaspoonful amounts onto prepared baking trays and bake for 10 minutes.

    Quite nice. We made 48 biscuits so a bigger than teaspoon sized used for each biscuit which meant they were a bit doughy (which we quite like) rather than biscuit like and we had to cook them a bit longer. Seems like a very versatile recipe to vary flavours and dried fruits and nut. Thank you for the recipe
