- 15 g Bi Carb Soda
- 250 g water (boiled)
- 140 g raw suagr
- 15 g Butter
- 5 g vanilla extract
- 1 egg
- 190 g Flour, Plain
- 1 tsp baking powder

Recipe's preparation
Place dates into bowl and chop on speed 6 for 10 seconds. Add to bowl Bi carb Soda and Boiling Water, mix on reverse speed 2 for 10 seconds. Let mixture cool. While waiting for mixture to cool line a loaf tin with baking paper and preheat the oven to 160C fan forced (180C no fan). Add to bowl Sugar, Butter, Vanilla and Egg. Mix speed 3 for 5 seconds. Add to bowl Flour and Baking Powder. Mix on speed 3 for 10 seconds, scrape down sides of bowl and mix for a futher 5 seconds on speed 3. Place mixture into lined tin and bake for approx 40min or until a skewer comes out clean.
