Double Banana Coconut Cake

  • 4 bananas, Ripe
  • 180 g of Desiccated Coconut
  • 125 g butter - Softened
  • 1/2 cup of oil
  • 2 eggs
  • 250 g of sugar
  • 500 g SR Flour
  • 330 g Milk

      If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
      For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation

    PLEASE NOTE THIS RECIPE MAKES TWO CAKES

  1. Pre- heat oven to 180deg

     

  2. Add Bananas, oil and coconut into bowl mix 5sec, speed 6

  3. Add butter and sugar mix 10sec speed 5

  4. Add the remaining ingredients to the TM bowl- Milk, flour, eggs mix 20sec speed 4

  5. Pour batter into greased cake tins.

Tip

You can replace the oil with another 125g of butter if preferd. 

I normall dress this with an equal mix of icing sugar and passionfruit!

    Hi folks,
    As a newbie to the Thermomix world. Is it normal not to have a cooking time? Or should I have deducted the 5 minutes prep time from the 50 minutes shown above?
