Easter bread and butter pudding

Ingredients

12 portion(s)

  • 6-8 Hot X Buns, Cut into slices ( I used choc chip hot x buns)
  • Butter, For Bread and Greasing
  • 80 grams caster sugar
  • 280 grams Milk
  • 580 grams thickened cream
  • 4 Eggs.
  • 250 grams chocolate, (Left over easter eggs)

Recipe's preparation

  1. Cut hot cross buns into slices (approx 3 slices per bun)

    Greese large rectangle Pyrex type dish 

    pre heat oven to 200 degrees (fan forced)

    butter both sides of each of the pieces of bread and place into the already greased dish.

    Put sugar cream and milk into TM bowl and heat 6 minutes/ 80 degrees/ speed 3

    put butterfly into place and turn TM on 2 minutes speed 3, whilst going crack each egg into the whole of the mixing bowl lid. Once all eggs are in put MC into place and turn to speed 4 until finished.

    poor mixture over bread and leave for approx 10 minutes. Make sure all bread is covered by mixture of not keep pushing bread down so it is soaking up mixture.

    place broken up chocolate on top 

    put into oven for approx 45 minutes (depending on oven)

    serve with vanilla ice cream or eat as is..

    This was very nice, I used Woolies Hot Cross Buns, & didn't add the chocolate eggs..but was delish...
