      Recipe is created for
      TM 5
Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!

Recipe's preparation

  1. 1.  Preheat oven to 180C. Grease and line 20cm springform cake tin. (I just spray mine with coconut oil spray)

    2.  Place orange and butter into mixing bowl, insert MC and mix 7 sec/speed 8, scrap down sides, insert MC and mix 2 sec/speed 8

    3.  Add remaining ingredients, insert MC and combine 20 sec/speed 4, scrap down sides, insert MC and mix 5 sec/speed 4

    4.  Pour into 20cm round cake tin and bake for 50-60 minutes.

    5.  place on wire cooling rack to cool

  2. Glaze
  3. 1.  Place orange (cut into quarters) into mixing bowl, insert MC and mix 5 sec/speed 9, scrap down sides, insert MC, mix 3 sec/speed 9

    2.  Add remaining ingredients

    3. Leave MC OFF, mix 8 min/90 deg/speed 1

    4. Allow to cool slightly then brush onto top of cake

(this make heaps of glaze, you could half the glaze recipe, coat the cake a few times or add more icing sugar and make it thicker)
