- 4 Medium Green Apples, peeled and sliced
- raw sugar, to sprinkle
- cinnamon, to sprinkle
- 800 grams water
- 210 grams raw sugar
- 210 grams Butter, cubed
- 1 egg
- 400 grams Self Raising Flour

TM 5Please note that the TM5 mixing bowl has a larger capacity than the TM31 (capacity of 2.2 liters instead of 2.0 liters for TM 31). Recipes for the Thermomix TM5 may not be cooked with a Thermomix TM31 for safety reasons without adjusting the quantities. Risk of scalding by spraying of hot liquids: Do not exceed the maximum filling quantity and observe the filling level markings of the mixing bowl!
Weigh water into mixing bowl and heat 10 minutes, 100°
, speed 3.
Insert simmering basket and cook 7 minutes, 120°, speed 3.
Set aside simmering basket to drain and rinse and dry bowl.
Weigh sugar into the bowl and mill 3 seconds, speed 10.
Add butter and cream 1 minute, speed 4
Add Egg and flour & mix 30 seconds, speed 4, scrape down sides and repeat until all mixed together.
Tip mixture onto thermomat or clean dry surface and roll into a bowl, divide mixture in half.
Roll out the first half and press into the bottom of your baking dish.
Top with the apples and sprinkle with raw sugar and cinnamon.
Flatten the remaining dough to fit over the top or crumble over in pieces.
Bake in the oven at 180° for approx. 15-20 minutes until the top is golden brown.
I use a glass pie dish but you can use any baking dish.
Tastes great with the automated vanilla custard. Put this on while it is baking.
