- 95 g brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla essence

If you are using a Thermomix® TM6 measuring cup with your Thermomix® TM5:
For cooking (simmering) at temperatures of 95°C or above (200°F), the simmering basket should always be used instead of the TM6 measuring cup, as the TM6 measuring cup fits tightly in the lid. The simmering basket rests loosely on top, is steam-permeable, and also prevents food spatter from the mixing bowl.

Recipe's preparation
- 1. Preheat oven to 160ºC
2. Cream the butter, sugars and vanilla essence until they're light and fluffy. 2min/speed 3/MC on scrape down sides.
3. In a separate bowl, lightly beat egg until whites and yolk are combined.
4. Lightly beat for a further 1min/speed 3/MC on adding the beaten egg to the lid; which allows the egg to be added gradually.
5. Add sifted flour and chocolate chips; stir for 5min/"Gentle stir setting" /MC on aid with spatula occasionally
6. Using a teaspoon, spoon out mixture into small balls and place onto a lined baking tray; allow 1-2cms for expansion.
7. Place in oven and cook for 10-12 mins on 160ºC; or until lightly brown.

Tip
TIP: For a dark chocolate cookie; exchange 45g of SR Flour for cocoa powder
TIP: If using refridgerated butter; heat on lowest TM tempreture in the remaining minutes of the creaming stage.
